FAQ
It’s my first time at Pure Yoga - what do I need to know?
First of all, welcome! We suggest giving yourself extra time before your first visit to be shown your way around, confirm that your account is set up and the studio waiver is signed - this must be done before entering the hot room! (If you signed up online via our website, your account and waiver are likely already complete)
Read through the rest of our FAQ’s below for everything else you may need to know.
Please note: there is only paid street parking available around the studio.

Are all classes hot? How hot do classes get?
Yes - all of our classes at Pure Yoga are hot! Depending on the time of day, the weather outdoors, the type of class, and number of people in class, the studio will fluctuate between 32 - 38 degrees celsius. Be prepared to sweat!
-
What do I have to bring with me to class?
You should plan to bring: a mat, small towel, and water bottle - we have filtered taps to fill your container when you arrive. We have shared straps, sliders, hand weights and cork blocks for use in class when required - you are free to bring your own props if you’d like!
Forgot something? No worries! We rent mats and towels in the studio, and sell water bottles, Flow Water, and BioSteel Sports drinks for all your hydration needs.
-
What is your late / cancellation / no show policy?
Our classes have capacity restrictions based on the size of our hot room - our busy classes do fill right up! As such, all no shows or late cancellations will be charged a fee of $15.
To avoid disruptions and for the safety of all members, exterior doors to the studio will be locked at the start time of each scheduled class or workshop.
Fees will be implemented if a cancellation is made less than 6 hours before a class begins, members will be considered a no show after class has begun.
-
Can I do a drop in without booking in advance?
We always recommend our members book classes in advance via our website or app to ensure you have a spot reserved, as many of our classes will get close to or hit capacity. We do create a waitlist when capacity is met, though the waitlist doesn’t guarantee you will be able to enter class.
-
Does the studio have change rooms and lockers?
The studio has 3 change rooms available: men’s, women’s, and a gender neutral option. Showers and bathrooms are currently located in the mens and women’s change rooms only.
While we do not have lockers, the exterior doors to the studio are locked during classes - meaning no one is in or out of the studio while you enjoy your practice. Please note: any valuables brought into the studio are the sole responsibility of members at all times.

I’m new to yoga and Pure Yoga Toronto - what is the best way to start my practice?
We’re so excited for you to start your yoga journey with us! We highly recommend you sign up for our Intro Month offer, created for you to try as many classes and teachers as possible within 30 days to get a real feel for the studio.
Flow classes are most accessible to all levels, so that is a great place to start. Let our teachers know you are new to yoga - they will be able to offer modifications and variations so the postures suit your practice more comfortably.
How old do I need to be to practice at Pure Yoga?
To practice with us at Pure Yoga, you must be over 14 years of age. For anyone 14 - 17, you must have a waiver signed by a guardian prior to beginning class.
